A Day in Greece

"I would like to see you wear this armor and keep running." Mar said as he was dragged through out the city. "YOU in a fight? I would love to see that."

"I specialize in protection spells and charms" Sai said proudly. "That's what I'm famous for."
Dragging a Roman was hard work,"Pick up your feet, we're going to miss the entertainment. Do you care for the theatre?"

"Depends on what it's about..." Mar said as he was still being dragged, "Spell's I dont belive in magic sorry..."

"It's alright." Sai shrugged, "not many people do anymore. But, it puts their mind at ease." She took out the amulet that Mar had given her the night in Egypt. "Like this. I know there's nothing special about it with magic or anything, but...it's...calming."
She went into a daze, then snapped back to the present.
"The show's a tragedy. It's about a Roman. A great hero. But...he gets in over his head, and his pride becomes his downfall."

"Great, I get to see a show mocking my people...dont mind me If I sleep though it." Mar muttered as he stepped inside the theatre and sat down resting his face on the palms of his hands.

"It's not bad actually." Sai said, "If anything it shows the determination of a Roman solder. In the end everyone cries for him."
We're here.
The setting was an outdoor theatre. "There's a spot." She pointed to a shady area under an olive tree.

Mar nodded as he sat down under the tree and watched, wondering how long it would take for him to fall asleep.

The play wasn't bad...too much blood for Sai's taste though.
Sensing something off, she whispered to Mar, "Watch your pouch."
A little boy was trying his best to pickpocket Mar.

Mar was half-awake and nodded as he grabbed the kid by his shirt pulling him up. He carefuly wondered what to do with it, as his hands snaked toward his dagger.

Alarmed as Mar's hand went to the dagger, Sai put her hand on Mar's then spoke to the boy.
"Hey, if you find drinks for us, I'll give you 5 gold coins."
The boy quickly pulled his hand away. "Really?"
Sai nodded. The boy smiled and went off to complete the task
"You weren't going to hurt him were you?" Sai asked Mar horrified.

Mar rolled his eyes as the boy ran away, "No...I wasnt..." He lied sighing as he returned to the play. "Do you even have five gold pecies?"

"Yes." She pulled out a whole pouch of gold coins. "It pays to be the Pharaoh's favorite."
Sai leaned on Mar's side, "...Thank you for not hurting the boy."

Mar sighed, "Whatever, just wake me when this is over. We better go some where intersting after this. Such a bore..." Mar muttered as he rested he head against her sholder and went asleep.

*I'm not going to cry, I'm not going to cry I'm not going to...*
*Cries*
The end was horrible. The hero died in battle to save the others...
Everyone in the theatre was crying...well, except for the Roman who was asleep.
Sai felt his breath along her neck that caught her attention.

...
One kiss wouldn't hurt...
Sai closed her eyes and leaned in.
The kiss was short and chaste. Seeing him still sleep she smiled, "Not really a Sleeping Beauty. You were suppose to wake up...I guess it's better this way."

Mar woke up and noticed everyone crying, he sighed and rolled his eyes. "Strange..." Mar said as he looked over at Sai, "You ok your alittle red like you done something?" He asked rasieing an eyebrow wonder what she had done.

"Am I?" Sai gave a nervous laugh, "I don't know why..."
Sai stood up. "I already paid the boy. The sun's going down too. We could...go to the coast, or end the day. Where are you staying? I assume that you have headquarters in Greece."

"If you didnt notice, it was hard enough to dock here without starting a war. You think they would let us place anything here. HAH thats a good one." Mar frowned as he stood up.

"So you don't." Sai started to think, "Are you leaving or staying here in the city? If you're staying I could let you use a spare room...but...I dont' see why you'd want to stay."
Sai looked at Mar's attire. "Why don't you change your clothes?"

Mar, "Spare room? If I could use it that would be nice, but we cuodl always sleep together." Mar winked and laughed, "No we dont have anything here. As I said before I dont feel like trugeing though more sand in Carthage. So im takeing my time. Change clothing!? Why I like my armor."

Not minding his suggestion, a blush did creep up to Sai's face.
"Oh...Um, well if you had a problem with the..."
He didn't notice? The Greeks were looking at him as if they wanted to kill him. His armor was a dead giveaway. Literally.
"Let's go now. Where do you want to go?" Sai wrapped her arm around Mar's and started to pull him gently.

"Splended, together it is." Mar smiled as he let himself be dragged out.

"I didn't say anything about that!" Sai said a bit above a whisper.
People started to listen in on their conversation.
"Isn't she the seer?"
Now pushing Mar away from the theatre, she gave a laugh, "That...was...awkward..."
She looked to Mar. At least he didn't notice the glares. Sai smiled to Mar, "The beach or home?"

"Im tired, dispite being asleep during that play. If my clothing wasint RUINED by a certain someone I would wear that this armor is heavy..." Mar pouted as he was pushed toward her home.

"eh..." Sai gave a small laugh. "Alright we'll go home."
Sai wrapped an arm around Mar's waist. This felt nice.
The house Sai brought Mar to was simple, but very richly furnished. "My family moved to the other side of the city, while I got this place to myself. It's very quaint, but I love it here. What do you think? really."

"Well, it's nice. I dont have to walk half a mile to go to the dinning room." Mar said as he looked around and plopped down on Sai's bed yawning.
