A Day in Greece

Hurrying to the deck, Sai felt the salt breeze on her face. She was home! The port of Greece was busy. SHips coming and going bearing goods from the world! This was wonderful.
"Home...." She was taking in the fresh air and smiling brightly.

Mar was currently asleep in his cabin turning over snoreing. "zzzz...zz.." He didnt hear the loud words. "Land HO!

Going to gather her belongings, Sai walked to her room. It was only then did she see someone infront of Mar's.
When the cabin boy noticed Sai, his face lit up, "You! You're his friend right?"
"Uhh..." Sai was confused, "HUh?"
The boy sighed, "Thank goodness. Could you wake him? He's not up yet and we're already docking. I would, but I have to fix a few things. Please get him up?"
"I don't have a key-"
The boy tossed a ring of keys to Sai, "Find it. Thank you!" Without another word, he was gone.
Sai grumbled a bit, but did the task.
Finally in Mar's room after 20 wrong tries with the keys, she saw the Roman sleeping soundly.
"Hey." She nudged him. Nothing.
"Mar!" She nudged him with more force.

Mar rolled over sucking on his thumb and curling up into a tight ball snoreing.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, Greeks and Romans, your emperor, Mar Esperanza!"
Sai looked down. "i can't believe you sleep like a baby."
Ok...wake him up...
Grabbing his shoulders, Sai started to shake Mar. "Roman! Wake up!"

Mar was tuged backward as he fell on top of Sai kissing her and awoke. "!?!?!"

Unconsciously, Sai kissed back, but then snapped back to reality.
With wide eyes, Sai pulled back. "Whoa, uh,I'm...I didn't, that...Sorry! The key boy tired to open the boy the room with the door, but...I'm not making any sense...the cabin boy with the keys, told me to wake you up."

Mar stood up rubbing his face, "Yeah nice wake up call Lady Sai, cant say im complaining though." He gave a grin as he helpped her off the floor and put on his armor.

A light tinge of red came to Sai's face. Looking away to give a bit of privacy to Mar, she saw the window that shown her beloved Greece. "Don't you love that view?" She said this as if Mar would see the coloseum.

Mar blinked and wrapped his arms around her nodding, "Yes, it's even more beautiful then Rome. Then then again Rome isnt that nise, but I've lived there all my life I guess it's not new to me."

Instead of stiffing up this time, Sai took his arms and hugged them to herself.
"Are..." she looked down, "Are you leaving for Rome soon?"

"Depends on if I have anything to do here. I also need to get rid of the rest of that sand..." Mar muttered and sighed as he looked out the window at the city.

Sai thought hard.
"Why...don't you...spend the day with me?" She asked slowly, "Well. If you don't mind. I AM Greek, and I'm sure you're eager to return home..."

"Not really, im just going to be ordered by the senate to take down Carthage..." Mar yawned and smiled as he pressed himself against her smaller body, " I would love you, if you don't mind. I AM Roman, and im sure you're eager to see your family."

Sai closed her eyes and leaned towards Mar.
But...Carthage...why was she getting a bad feeling about this? What was important to her about Carthage...
Shutting out her feelings about the city, Sai used her arms while facing Mar and brought him tighter.
"I...wouldn't mind. " Sai leaned in a bit more. "And my family is out of Athens for now."

"Then let us be on your way, unless you want to stay like this..." Mar said rubbing her back and giveing the top of hr head a kiss.

"I...wouldn't mind if we stayed like this...a little longer..."
Sai buried her face. He even smelled good.

Mar laughed and wrapped his arms around her as he closed his eyes rocking back and forth slightly.

Sai's grip on Mar tightened.
Looking up at him through half-lidded eyes she raised a hand to brush his hair out of his eyes.
"What's so funny?"

"I remeber you saying that a Roman and a Greek couldint be together?" Mar asked looking gown at her.

"Hm..." Sai's face was blank, "Did I?"
Tilting her head to remember, she concentrated, "I remember saying we hate each other..."

Mar rolled his eyes as he let her go and opened the soor. "Yes you did now lets go..."

"Aww..." Sai laughed, "I didn't hurt the Roman did I?"
Sai poked Mar's armor and walked out the door to tour Greece. "Hurry up! I thought you were a solder!"

"I am doesnt mean I have to be a fast one...Im use to marching.." Mar complained as he was poked.

"You're too slow." Sai said to him as she took his hand to drag the solder, "Really. I think even I'd be faster in a fight."
